This is just one of many photos I took while we were on the good ship Calypso. We were blessed with absolutely perfect weather. It was a great experience. We'd been approached by a guy while sunning ourselves on our second day who asked the classic question: 'Would you like to go on a boat trip?' Our holiday rep had warned us strongly against people touting this sort of thing. She told us these boats were dirty and unsafe, and we'd be much better off booking proper excursions through her. But we liked the guy, we didn't say Yes right away when he approached us, and he told us to come along later that evening to have a look round the boat when it came back from that day's trip. We did that, he showed us around and gave us complimentary drinks to help with the sales pitch. We were impressed with what we saw and paid a deposit there and then. We were delighted we did. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the Calypso. It certainly wasn't dirty, and we saw no sign of anything which suggested that ti was unsafe. All in all, we had a wonderful day.
