This photo dates from 24th October, which was an unseasonably nice day for the time of year. I was meeting Carl in Dún Laoghaire when he finished work, and I left home early enough to spend some time on Dublin's south Wall, which, together with its companion North Wall, protects the entrance to Dublin Port and eases passage for boats coming in and out of the Port. This view is on the south side of the south wall, looking across towards Sandymount, Dún Laoghaire, Dalkey and so on. I've no idea what purpose the building served of which the rubble in the foreground used to be a part.

Gosh, what a 'fussy' view this is, all the detail in the stone and also in the rippled sand. Lovely.
Jimbo: 'Fussy' is spot-on, Ellie. I've found it difficult myself to find a word that describes it, but you got it in one! A think maybe a shallower depth of field would have been better ;-)
