The shoreline at Bull Island is very popular with what I guess are called parasurfers. On this particular evening there was quite a gang of them in action, taking best advantage of the windy conditions. I couldn't get enough of the shapes and colours of the sails.

Today is a bank holiday here in Ireland (the last Monday in October, last public holiday before Christmas).

Brilliant shot Jim, they look like free floating creatures. You can't see the cables.
Jimbo: Glad you like it, Dave. It was a fab evening — very windy, too, which really suited the parasurfers and tempted lots of them out. It was a terrific sight.
