More of the Sea Scout boats can be seen in the background, but it was the guy digging in the low-tide mud who attracted my attention. I presume he was looking for fishing bait.

I've done this as a kid. We used look for a fat little worms called a "lugworm" which you could approximate where they were by little squiggles of sand at low tide. I was almost like the shape you get if you gave a tube of paste a good squeez if you follow.
Jimbo: Yo Dave! 'Lugworm' sounds familiar, though I can't imagine how, since I grew up in the midlands, far away from any coastal area where they might have been. Maybe it's juyst that I was well read?
