There's this rather sad-looking structure on the seafront at Dún Laoghaire — it's derelict and dilapidated, and looks like it was a shelter of some sort originally, but there's still something rather fascinating about it, especially as a photographic subject. So I took a few shots the other day, playing around with different viewpoints and varying the exposure. I was thinking in terms of calling one of the shots Strictly for the Birds because the place attracts a great many pigeons, but when this lone pigeon made an appearance I really had no choice but to choose this image as the pick of the bunch.
