I've always been really interested in photography, originally because my father was a very keen amateur photographer who used do his own developing and printing back in pre-digital days. I tend to limit use of my camera too much to when I go away on holiday, visitng countries ouside Ireland where I live, but that is now beginning to change, thanks largely to another photo blog which I set up at the beginning of 2007. This is
Jimbo's PhotoBlogendar, so named because it's calendar-based rather than following the more traditional actual blog route. This has its own limitatons, though, so I'm interested in giving Shutterchance a go in addition to that. Let's see what happens. So far I'm really impressed, and I can see myself becoming comfortable here and maintaining both blogs.
Addendum: Since writing the above back in March when I began here at Shutterchance I've become more and more interested in the whole photoblogging phenomenon, and this led me to add a third string to my bow towards the end of May. So as well as my own
Photoblogendar and my presence here at Shutterchance, you can now also find me (as
Dublin Shooter) over at
blipfoto too.
